We turned flat UI elements into engaging 3D experiences by creating a design system that combines clear function with playful brand expression. This system includes a flexible component library that helps keep Meta’s 3D design consistent across all its products. With guidelines for layout, motion, lighting, and materials.
Each brand in the Meta family has its own style and way of interacting with users. We built a shared visual and motion language that shows each brand’s unique strengths while still feeling like part of the same system.
To make sure UI elements fit naturally into 3D scenes, we designed a flexible grid with clear rules for placing and lighting objects. This helps create focus and makes everything feel like it belongs in the Meta world.
